World of Warcraft Death
Knight Guide Weapon Tips
This World of Warcraft Death Knight guide isn’t just about an overview of the class so now I’m going to show you
some of the weapons that can help you on your way. The Death Knight can carry lots of different types of weapons
including Maces, Axes, Swords and Pole Arms so here are some of the top picks.
Early on you will come across the Axe of Frozen Death and as both the Alliance and Horde can carry this weapon
it will probably be something everyone ends up using. It may be an early weapon but the bonuses are great, with
extra Strength, Stamina, Critical Strike rating and Hit rating.
If your Death Knight is Unholy or Blood Spec then you can get the Troll Butcher which drops from Trollgore in
Drak’Theron Keep. This weapon will add to your attack power and increase your critical strike power too.
Some people have this right the way up to Level 80 as it’s great DPS and bonuses make it worthwhile having all the
way to the end!

Like to handle two weapons at once? Higher miss rate put you off?
Try getting hold of the Fang of Truth. This is dropped in Utgarde Keep, you need to be honoured with The
Wyrmrest Accord or Ymiron’s Blade, both great fast weapons, but once you combine it with one of them the extra hit
rating really makes up for the increased miss rate of a dual spec meaning that you can strike fast and with
accuracy... twice!
World of Warcraft Death Knight Guide Armour
Tips
Another thing this World of Warcraft Death Knight guide is helpful for is the choice of armour and clothing for
your Death Knight as this is huge as well. Choose from Plate mail, Standard Mail, Cloth and for the fashion
conscious amongst us even Leather!
Let’s start at the top, with your head! Dropping in the Halls of Stone is Brann’s Lost Mining Helmet. If you
have a DPS build then the Strength and Stamina bonuses really help. It also has a large bonus for your critical
strike rating so this is really worth putting on your skull... and it’ll keep your ears warm!
Next up (or should that be down?) are the shoulders. The Shoulder Plates of the Beholder are a great addition
you can get from The Violet Hold. They contain Red Sockets meaning you can increase stats your way, really helpful
for shaping your Death Knight how you want it.
A great Chest Piece for less than 50g is the Whalebone Carapace. You can wear it from level 76 onwards and is
available from The Kalu’ak. This piece is good enough to get you all the way to the raids at the end of the game of
you wanted to.
Available from the same place as the Chest Piece above you can also get yourself the Ivory Reinforced Chest
Guard as this has a boost to your defence rating if this is something you need an extra help in.
Down to the legs, and a good item to get here is the Void Sentry Leg plates. These are designed with Tanking in
mind and available from The Violet Hold. They may be meant for Tanking primarily but the inclusion of a Yellow
Socket means you can add Strike, Defence or any other attribute that matches your style of play.
As you can see the Death Knight is a very versatile character and well worth getting to know. This World of
Warcraft Death Knight Guide has only just touched the surface of what this new class can do so get out there and
try it out for yourself.
